As a gridstar user you can capture your performances on video with your cellphone or video recorder, and upload your entries. Just record and upload your videos from your cellphone and send to us via MMS as follows:

Once you've registered and uploaded your spectacular performance you will automatically be entered into our competition. Our judges will review your entry, before posting it on gridstar for all your fans to view and vote.

There are great prizes to be won each month as well as a grand prize of a professionally produced video to the value of R100 000 - a once in a lifetime opportunity!

If you're an admirer rather than a performer, you can also play a starring role in our competition. Without registering you can view all the video entries and information on contestants.

Most importantly; as a fan you can give comments and 'rate' the videos that they see - you have the power to make a new gridstar!

After you've rated an entry you can SMS the link from the gridstar website to friends to view. This SMS is free to any mobile number.

When you register as a member, you can chat to friends and artists in the gridstar 'Canteen' and keep your favourite videos, send and receive chat messages and update your own portfolio in your own 'Dressing room'.
